Caring for your Furniture

OUR MODERN FINISHES are the best available and offer excellent protection against water spills, heat and other potential damage. Nevertheless, you should still treat your furniture with care. We recommend a dry or barely damp soft cloth to remove dust. NEVER use products containing silicone. Also, some wax products contain solvents which can damage finishes! We recommend an orange oil and beeswax blend.

If you use glass covers on tables or desks, please ensure that they are kept off the surface of the furniture with felt buttons. Never let glass rest right on the surface, or you risk humidity damage to the finish.

Table pads are fine to protect a table during dinner, but should not be left on for long periods. Some pads contain substances which can actually damage finishes if left in contact for too long. For top quality, custom made pads, call or e-mail us.

SAVE MONEY ON REPAIRS by calling us when your chairs are loose. Don't wait for them to break. Broken legs and spindles are much more expensive to repair. Loose chairs - and other furniture - can be taken apart and re-glued. Leaving loose joints is risking broken structural parts and a much higher repair cost later.

REMEMBER what your mother told you: Keep all four legs of your chair on the floor. Don't lean back! It is still the best advice.
