• Complete refinishing to restore your furniture to the way it looked when it was new, or to change the color and look to suit your decor. We strip the old finish, make any necessary repairs, sand, stain, then finish with top quality materials. We are expert at matching colors and sheens to your requirements.

• Stripping. If you have ever tried to strip furniture or cabinets yourself, you will know how valuable this service can be! We also strip house parts, such as doors and molding. Remember that stripping removes finishes like paint, lacquer and varnish. It does not remove all stains, which may have to be sanded off. Ballard Refinishers can do that for you too!

• Repairs of all kinds to furniture. Broken parts fixed or made, veneers patched or replaced, chairs re-glued, re-caned and restored.

• Fabrication of table leaves, chair legs, spindles and missing furniture parts. Carvings, turnings and moldings reproduced.

• Touch-up. Sometimes, minor dings, chips and blemishes can be touched up in your home, saving the expense of refinishing and the cost and effort of transporting the piece to our workshop.

• Antique restoration: when the piece must retain its patina and appearance, we can restore or re-polish it to enhance its appearance and value. We guarantee care and consideration for your most valuable antiques.

• Pre-finishing (finishing) of new doors, house trim, cabinets and furniture. We finish all sorts of doors: exterior, interior, closet and cabinet.

•Kitchen cabinets

On-site refinishing of kitchen and bathroom cabinetry: we take the doors and drawers into the shop to refinish, then come to your house to refinish the face frames and side panels.

• Table pads: custom made and fitted. Heat protection up to 800° F.

• Free estimates gladly given. A charge is made for written estimates for moving damage and some insurance claims.
